Incursions
Cape Clear PS students work on the Illabrookcommunity revegetation project.
Incursions can be tailored for schools to suit the topic they are working on. Broad themes include water, soil, biodiversity or threats and issues. Activities are hands on, inclusive and have Victorian Essential Learning Standards (VELS) links. Costs for incursions are minimal and can be negotiated.
The Landcare Education Coordinator is available to assist schools in creating indigenous, sensory, butterfly, waterwise or no dig vegetable gardens for their school grounds. Assistance can also be provided to assist schools to partner their local Landcare group to work on community revegetation sites. Contact the Landcare Education Coordinator for more details via
Workshops
Workshops provide practical advice on how individuals and groups can respond constructively to land degradation problems.
Greening Australia, in conjunction with the Ballarat and Region Community Seed bank run workshops from the Parks Victoria Creswick site for community groups through out the year. See the Noticeboard for upcoming events.
